following is a collection of lists, linked to the entries
for individual churches. This section will be altered and
expanded, as more churches are added to the site. **************************************************** JENKIN'S SUFFOLK CHURCHES in England's Thousand Best Churches by Simon Jenkins. These are the ones he counts as Suffolk's best. I challenged him about missing Westhall and Badingham - he looked at me as if I was some sort of sad weirdo. Right, that's what HE thinks. The following are my lists, and therefore ONLY INCLUDE CHURCHES WITH EXISTING ENTRIES. I'll put links in to each list as I finish preparing it, and I'll update these lists as more churches are added to the site. MY TOP 50 - it's all a matter of personal taste, you understand. ROODSCREENS - churches with fine or interesting ones. WALLPAINTINGS - where to see them. ROUND TOWERS - typically East Anglian. FONTS - including those seven sacrament ones. |
